FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

At Howell Hound Haven, we understand that leaving your beloved pet can be daunting. We've compiled a list of common questions to help put your mind at ease and ensure you're fully informed about our dog sitting services in Launceston, Australia.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your dog's food, any necessary medications, and their favourite blanket or toy to help them feel more at home. We provide bowls and beds but your welcome to bring their own, especially if they are crate trained.

What happens if my dog is sick or injured?

In the event of illness or injury, we will immediately contact you or your emergency contact. We will then take your dog to their regular vet or the nearest emergency vet if required. If it's urgent we will take action first and contact you as soon as possible.

Will my dog be left alone?

At daycare your dog will not be left alone. We ensure continuous supervision and companionship for all our furry guests at Howell Hound Haven.

Overnight stays are a little different. As the number of dogs staying overnight is minimal, less supervision is required. Even though we strive to keep your dog company at all times there will be occasions when we need to go out for a short time.

What information would best help put a dog owner's mind at ease?

We send regular updates, including photos and videos, so you can see how much fun your dog is having. We treat every dog like our own and provide a loving, safe, and stimulating environment.

What if my dog needs time away from the other dogs?

We have designated quiet areas and can arrange for individual play sessions if your dog prefers more alone time or needs a break from group activities.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, Howell Hound Haven is fully insured for your peace of mind. Details of our insurance coverage are available upon request.

How many other dogs will be there?

We maintain a small and controlled group size to ensure personalised attention and a safe environment for all dogs. This helps us manage interactions and provide quality care.

Are there any key details or policies I need to know upfront?

All dogs must be vaccinated, toilet trained, non-reactive to other dogs, and well-groomed before their stay at Howell Hound Haven.
